Roco Kingdom’s closed test is underway; the main recruitment phase has ended

The official site now points remaining applicants to Lucky Drops. Its creature travel and level-adjusted battles are test features, not a finished-game verdict.

Roco Kingdom's Quack Quack closed test began on October 27, while its Steam release is still listed as coming soon. Morefun Studios is presenting a free-to-play, open-world creature collector with cooperative exploration and turn-based competition. Access to this test is selective, not an open public launch.

The Steam listing describes more than 400 creatures called Jinies and a world named Carosia. Its most interesting design claim is how those companions connect travel, collection and competitive play, rather than simply the size of the roster.

A creature can be transport as well as a team member

The publisher describes riding a Jini with another player, sharing gathering rewards and experience, and building a home alongside exploration and academy activities. These systems could make collection useful outside battle, giving a creature a role in how players move and spend time together.

That is still a description of the intended experience. The page's promotional claims about a seamless world or stress-free play should not be mistaken for independent testing. Server performance, progression friction and the practical limits of cooperative access remain things to assess in the actual game.

The creatures also vary in traits such as size and appearance. Variation can make an individual companion feel personal, but the value depends on whether those differences create meaningful attachment or simply multiply collection targets. A large creature count alone does not answer that question.

Equalised levels change one part of competition

For turn-based PvP, Morefun describes equalised Jini levels and an eighteen-class counter system. Equalising levels can reduce the direct advantage of having spent more time increasing that number. It does not automatically equalise every available creature, move or strategic option.

The Steam page lists in-app purchases. That can coexist with free entry, but it means the business model needs more detail than the free-to-play label supplies. There is no reason to infer either a generous or restrictive economy before its actual terms are clear.

The PC listing contains requirements beyond hardware

Steam identifies a required Level Infinite Pass account and kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat. Those are relevant installation and account conditions, separate from the listed processor and memory requirements. Players should check them before treating the game as an ordinary offline collection adventure.

The official site says the main sign-up phase has closed, with pre-registration still offering a chance of access through Lucky Drops. Its test instructions give an October 27 start at 04:30 UTC. That is more specific than Steam's remaining recruitment wording: pre-registration does not guarantee selection. Cross-platform ambitions should not be expanded into support for every device or console.

Roco Kingdom's opportunity is to make the bond with a creature useful across several kinds of play. The test will be more revealing when it shows how those systems meet: whether the companion chosen for an adventure remains interesting when a friend joins, a battle starts or the collecting stops for the evening.
