Chucky leaves Dead by Daylight stores in November. Owners keep him

The acquisition deadline, renamed perks and staggered discounts affect players in different ways.

Chucky will leave Dead by Daylight's stores on November 24 at 11am Eastern, but Behaviour says players who already own him will keep playing him. The distinction matters: this is a deadline for acquiring the character and his shop cosmetics, not a shutdown of the character inside the game.

The developer's Chucky FAQ also separates the licensed character from his gameplay perks. Players who miss the purchase window will still be able to obtain versions of those perks through the general Killer pool. Buying the chapter is therefore a decision about playing Chucky, rather than the only route to retaining access to three useful mechanics.

What ownership preserves

An unlocked Chucky remains playable after the deadline. Owners can continue spending Bloodpoints on his progression, obtaining add-ons and earning his Prestige rewards. Behaviour specifically preserves the three Prestige cosmetics and three perk charms; other shop cosmetics need to be acquired before removal.

That leaves two different kinds of collection. Progression rewards remain something to earn through play. A costume sold in the shop has a purchasing deadline, even if the character wearing it is already in your library. Owning the chapter should not be read as reserving every associated outfit.

Behaviour has not supplied a reason for the removal in this FAQ. It would be premature to turn a familiar pattern of licensed-content delisting into a confirmed account of what happened to this particular agreement.

The perks survive with new names

For Chucky owners, his Bloodweb keeps the original perk names and flavour text. The general-pool versions use different names: Hex: Two Can Play becomes Hex: Eye For An Eye, Friends 'Til the End becomes One Track Mind, and Batteries Included becomes Gaining Steam.

These names are worth keeping together because a build guide may outlive the branded version it describes. A player looking for the old name after the change could mistake a renamed perk for missing content. Behaviour's character page provides the original context, including Chucky's distinctive third-person viewpoint; the FAQ explains what persists when sales end.

The discount starts on different days

Behaviour lists a 50% farewell discount, but the opening date varies by storefront. Epic and Xbox/Windows begin October 26, PlayStation November 2 and Steam November 10. Switch dates differ by region: October 26 in North America, October 27 in Europe and October 28 in Japan. The listed sale periods end November 24.

Those staggered dates mean an undiscounted listing this weekend does not necessarily contradict the announcement. Check the platform's actual offer before buying, and treat the 11am Eastern cutoff as the firm acquisition deadline rather than assuming the whole final calendar day remains available.

The practical choice is unusually clear: buy before removal if the appeal is Chucky himself or a particular outfit. The perk changes are designed to leave a route for everyone else.
