OnePlus Ace 7’s official preview puts the performance hardware on show

The October 29 Chinese launch now has official product images. Reservation incentives should not be confused with final prices or global availability.

OnePlus has put the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro on its official Chinese launch page, with an online presentation set for October 29 at 19:00 in China. The new images settle the appearance of the two phones more clearly than a circulating specification list: the Pro's conspicuous camera-and-cooling area is part of the design OnePlus is showing, rather than an accessory attached for a promotional shot.

The launch page also separates the two models and their reservation offers. It does not establish a worldwide release, a renamed international equivalent or a final retail price. Those remain different announcements, even when a Chinese product family has attracted an international following.

A visible difference between the two backs

The Pro images show a raised rectangular cluster with a long dark opening beside the camera elements, while the standard model has its own rear arrangement. OnePlus is giving the functional area substantial visual weight. For a phone sold on performance, that makes the cooling hardware part of its identity rather than something hidden in an internal diagram.

That is a design observation, not a measurement of cooling performance. A visible opening cannot tell a buyer how much heat the phone removes, how loud it becomes or how its behavior changes during a sustained game. Nor does an official render establish how a finish feels in the hand. The images are useful precisely when they answer questions about appearance without being asked to answer everything else.

A reservation amount is not a phone price

One conspicuous number on the page is a member reservation payment of RMB 0.01, attached to promotional benefits. Reading that number as the cost of an Ace 7 would be absurd, but subtler confusion can arise when the advertised value of gifts appears beside a product without a final selling price.

The useful comparison will be the phone's actual price and configuration once announced, with any membership, trade-in or installment conditions kept separate. A benefit conditional on another transaction is not an unconditional reduction available to every buyer. The current reservation page provides no basis for calculating a global bargain in another currency.

Keep the international family tree open

Ace coverage often invites speculation about what a related model might be called elsewhere. For this announcement, the reliable names are the two OnePlus has published. Our coverage of OnePlus 15's regional software release illustrates why even a familiar brand and hardware family do not erase market boundaries.

There is enough here for an informed preview without turning rumored battery capacities or camera specifications into a completed spec sheet. The visible designs and event date answer what OnePlus has chosen to reveal; the launch must supply the missing commercial and technical detail.

The most consequential feature of this teaser may be how openly it presents the performance hardware. If active cooling becomes a visible selling point, buyers will need to weigh sustained performance against the everyday experience of carrying the device. October 29 can explain OnePlus's proposed balance. These pictures establish the starting point, not the verdict.
